Shuster Awards
The Featured Site this time
around will take you to The Shuster Awards - they
recognize the best performances over the past year by Canadian
creators. They also have a Hall of Fame, with Joe Shuster
himself leading the inaugral inductees in 2005. The Outstanding
Canadian Cartoonist, Writer and Artist are among the awards
that will be bestowed on deserving creators at the 2006
Paradise Comics Toronto Comicon on April 29th, 2006.
There is no shortage of great Canadian comic book talent,
so I encourage you to check out this site and have a look
at the all encompassing list of works completed by Canadians
in 2005. This is a "reader's choice" type of awards,
so you can have a say in who brings home the hardware! Three
of the artists I represent - Francis Manapul, Kalman
Andrasofszky and Adrian Alphona - hail from the
true North strong and free. If you enjoy their work as much
